Stunning seascapes are a common sight in the Hebrides |
We continued our journey around the west of Scotland to deliver a further round of training courses for Caledonian MacBrayne, Hebridean & Clyde Ferries (CalMac). This time Richard Tatner ventured to even remoter corners of the Outer Hebrides; travelling as far as South Uist, over 5 hours by ferry from the mainland. We visited some of the largest and smallest of the beautiful Hedridean Islands, to deliver training to more than 40 people from 14 ports, in order that CalMac is well prepared for any incidents.
The courses were once again tailored to CalMac’s risks, revolving primarily around small day to day operational oil spill events associated with managing port and ferry services, loading and unloading cars and commercial vehicles.
