In the Media Spotlight

A 2-day media management course was held in Ankara for the Turkish administration, with the support of OSPRI. This was part of continuing preparations for a major oil spill simulation exercise in the Black Sea region. The exercise is named SULH 2007 and will be hosted by Turkey in Karadeniz Ereğli.

Effective response to media interest and enquiries is a crucial element of a successful oil spill response. This training included discussions about the information the media will need, plus advice on how to conduct interviews and write press releases. The training was conducted by CAM Film Ltd. in Turkish language, to ensure maximum benefit for the participants. The experiences gained will be utilized during SULH 2007.
