We have undertaken a series of six refresher training courses for Associated Petroleum Terminal (Immingham) Ltd. in the north-east of England. APT is a joint venture between Total and ConocoPhillips. The courses were tailored to APT’s risks, revolving primarily around inland oil tank storage and pipeline routes from the Humber Estuary to two local refineries.

The majority of the courses were aimed at First Responders and covered all the staff on five shifts. They focussed on initial response procedures and included practical exercises in ditches and tidal drains. Approximately 60 people received the training, with staff from the Lindsay Oil Refinery participating, emphasising the mutual aid between them and APT.
