In June 2004, Peter provided continuing Oil Spill Training Company support to BP's development of their Europe, Africa and Middle East Regional Response Team (RRT) by assisting with an Incident Command System workshop. He played the role of Environmental Unit Leader and provided general coaching to the Planning Section. The day involved an Incident Management Team walking through the initial stages of RRT integration with local BP resources in response to a fictitious shipping casualty. This type of workshop can be an ideal way for team members to develop their competencies and gain confidence in their allocated roles. Both Kevin and Peter are members of BP's RRT in the role of specialist advisors.
Peter had previously attended a Regional Response Team exercise in Germany to test the team's function and integration with the local Incident Management Team in November 2004.
