Steve Panton raises media interests with BP's Management |
Against this background The Oil Spill Training Company was asked to help develop and run a major emergency exercise. This was the largest such event for the BP Azerbaijan Business Unit for three years and included the involvement of over fifty personnel up to the most senior managers in the company. A team of twelve role players were coordinated by The Oil Spill Training Company to add realism to the event. The scenario was a ruptured pipe which caused an oil spill and significant business disruption, with associated environmental threats and media interest.
Peter Taylor and our associate Steve Panton, both travelled to Baku to deliver and facilitate the exercise. The exercise achieved its overall objectives and was widely regarded as a very useful training event.
