Environmental technology training in Kuwait

There is a growing awareness of environmental matters amongst companies operating in the Gulf region. Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, as part of their internal training programme and staff development, identified that their engineering and operational personnel needed to be more aware of the impact of oil pollution on the environment.

Therefore, the Oil Spill Training Company was asked to develop and present two 5-day training courses on Environmental Technology for Oil Pollution. The courses were attended by Environmental, Marine and Production Engineers and covered adoption of preventative measures for pollution control and their effectiveness, National and International regulations, the technology available to reduce discharges and best working practices.
