International Oil Spill Conference 2008

The 20th Triennial International Oil Spill Conference was held during May 4 - 8, 2008 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Centre in the USA. More than 2,000 people from 50 countries attended the event and viewed more than 200 exhibits, making it the oil spill community’s premier gathering.

Visitors to our stand were able to view our latest developments in e-Learning, including QMOS and a ‘US Bonn’ version of our Quantification Calculator. Demonstrating our unique Toolkits utilizing a Tablet PC was also great way to emphasise their value as both training aids and operational tools. Organizations as diverse as the US Coast Guard and the international oil companies were extremely complimentary about the quality of materials and graphics on show.

Kevin, Richard, Peter attended the conference, supported by our new office manager, Claire Braid. This was a fantastic opportunity for Claire to meet many of our clients and colleagues in the business.

There was broad agreement that Savannah was an excellent location for the event. Fine weather and Southern hospitality contributed to a very successful week, with many opportunities to network and socialise alongside old and new friends. If you missed us, we’ll be at Interspill 09 in Marseille!
