Response Support

Our personnel have experience of responding to numerous oil spill incidents across five continents. The cumulated knowledge of spill response and clean-up operations this brings is available to you.

Response Team Development and Membership

We can help you develop your response teams and our staff can take on specialist advisor roles with these teams. The backgrounds and expertise of our people allows them to be highly flexible team members. We can fulfil a wide variety of specialized roles in operations, logistics, planning or environmental sections. From aerial assessment through to liaison with other organizations, we can offer key oil spill professionals’ support that your team will need.

Incident Response

We attend oil spill incidents and provide technical guidance and advice both in the field and within command centres. We have a very high awareness of health and safety issues, particularly in relation to oil spill clean-up operations. Our staff can share their knowledge with local supervisors and assist them to quickly adopt best practice in response operations. We can ensure that cogent arguments are put across relating to Net Environmental Benefit in response decision making, including the often tricky issue of when to terminate clean-up.

We have direct experience in working with Governments all around the world and a variety of Non-Government Organizations. During an incident this makes us the ideal partners to formulate and implement plans for effective and constructive engagement with the relevant stakeholders.

You may wish to use us to provide a general assurance that your people are managing the incident in the best manner, or you may wish us take on direct tasks in the response team. Our flexibility allows us to meet the unique challenges that each incident poses. You can take assurance from knowing our staff are recognized leaders and long-time proponents of oil spill response.

Post Spill

Our staff can act as highly credible and respected ‘expert witnesses’ if elements of an oil spill incident are contentious or controversial, leading to legal action.

We can also provide guidance and help in the design and execution of post-spill environmental studies. These may be required to monitor the recovery of an area after an incident or to assess the effectiveness of clean-up operations.
